Plans are chosen inside Shopify after install. Get the install link when it's live.
A smart search is a descriptive request that returns results. Short searches, product codes, a repeat of the same search within 12 hours and failed searches don't count against your allowance.
At the limit: on Free, shoppers still get results, matched by keyword instead of by meaning, until older searches roll out of the 30-day window. On paid plans smart search never stops; each extra search is charged at the plan's rate (Starter $0.015, Growth $0.01, Pro $0.008) on your Shopify invoice. The app warns you at 80% of the allowance and shows the figure on its home page at all times.
Not sure which plan? Start on Free. The app shows searches used in the last 30 days, so you can see what your shoppers do before you pay anything. A store that outgrows Starter pays less on Growth from roughly 3,700 searches a month.
Pricing questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Starter, Growth and Pro each come with a 7-day free trial at that plan's full allowance. The Free plan has no time limit and needs no card.
What happens when the trial ends?
Your plan starts and Shopify adds it to your next invoice. You can change or cancel at any time from the app, and uninstalling cancels the plan.
How is overage charged?
Each smart search over your plan's allowance in the rolling 30-day window is charged at the plan's per-search rate, through Shopify, on the same invoice as the plan. There is no spending cap, so the app warns you at 80% and you can move up a plan at any time; moving up is the better deal from about the next plan's allowance.
Why US dollars?
Shopify app plans are priced in USD. Shopify shows you the estimated amount in your store's currency on the plan page and charges the converted amount on your invoice.
How do I change or cancel my plan?
Open WellChosen from your Shopify admin and click Change plan (or Choose a plan on Free). Plans are managed on Shopify's plan page. Uninstalling WellChosen cancels your plan and deletes your store's data straight away.
Does the Free plan ever cost anything?
No. Free has no overage. After 100 smart searches in 30 days it switches to keyword search until older searches roll off, so shoppers still get results and you are never charged.
What do I get for the support reply times?
Email support from the person who built the app, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time: within one working day on paid plans and three on Free.
