WellChosen terms of service
These terms apply when you install and use WellChosen (the "app") on a Shopify store. WellChosen is provided by Signal Beats Noise, [REGISTERED ADDRESS] ("we", "us"). By installing the app you agree to these terms on behalf of the store ("you").
1. The service
WellChosen lets shoppers on your store describe the person they are buying for and suggests matching products from your catalogue. To do this it reads your product and inventory data through the Shopify API and processes shopper queries, as described in our privacy policy.
2. Fees and billing
Plans, prices, any free trial and any usage limits are shown on our Shopify App Store listing and in the app. Charges are billed through Shopify and appear on your Shopify invoice. You can cancel at any time by uninstalling the app; charges stop from the next billing cycle and we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it. We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change.
3. Your responsibilities
- You must have authority to install apps on the store and to share its product data with us.
- You are responsible for your products, prices, descriptions and storefront, and for how you present suggestions to shoppers.
- You must not use the app to break the law or Shopify's terms, to attempt to access other stores' data, or to overload, probe or reverse engineer the service.
4. Your data
Your store data remains yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run, support and improve WellChosen. We delete it when you uninstall, as set out in the privacy policy.
5. Suggestions
WellChosen uses AI to choose products. Suggestions are a shopping aid and may not always be accurate or suitable. Prices and stock shown come from your Shopify data, and your checkout remains the source of truth.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep WellChosen running reliably but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error free. We may change or improve features over time. If we decide to discontinue the app, we will give you at least 30 days' notice.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, sales or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any 12 month period is limited to the fees you paid us for WellChosen in that period.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using WellChosen at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly breach these terms, or if Shopify requires us to.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use WellChosen after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
